Something In Between- 2007
This series of images was captured using a 4x5 view camera. The view camera is traditionally thought if as a studio or architecture camera, very slow and methodical. I wanted to see what would happen when I used the camera in a more documentary style, and began shooting different environments in sequence. I became interested in those movements between each shot, the lapse of time as I prepared the next film carrier. These wonderful overlaps and imperfections became the moments in between.
